STOKE Publishing offers author services, coaching and consulting, and marketing services to meet authors where they are in their journey.
STAND-ALONE SERVICES
STOKE offers “stand-alone” services like interior book design/layout and cover design. These services have set requirements and prices and do NOT involve book coaching or publishing consulting. These services are often purchased by the DIY or experienced author who needs no additional support and knows what to do with the files upon receipt. If you will need additional support, please consider adding on some 1:1 Coaching Calls.
COACHING AND CONSULTING
If you need someone to mentor you through the writing and/or the publishing process or have questions about the process, you can book a 1:1 session to discuss all your questions. If you need help to ensure you have not missed anything in your book or do not know what to do with your files when they are delivered, a 1:1 session would be a smart investment to avoid costly mistakes and keep you on track. You can also book a 3, 6, or 9-month Custom Book Coaching Package to ensure you have the support and feedback you need through the process.

Editing Services
Investment depends on the editor and the services you need.
STOKE Publishing can refer you to editors and editing services, and you will deal with your editor directly and pay them directly. You can also use your own editor. We currently do not have “in-house” editors, but we do work with several freelancers and editing services and can connect you.
Interior Book Design
Starts at $447 for KDP Paperback and Kindle Bundle
(Less than 200 pages with up to ten images. Longer books, workbooks and custom designs are subject to extra fees. We provide quotes before proceeding based on your word count and instructions. Includes three revisions.)
Trim Sizes: 5×8, 5.25×8, 5.5×8.5, 6×9, 5.06×7.81, 5.5×8.25. As well as some international trim sizes, mass-market paperbacks, and large print options.

Requirements: Email your word document to us and get a beautifully designed interior file for loading into your KDP account in return. This document MUST BE FULLY EDITED AND ERROR-FREE. If you send in a document and we do the design, and then you request extensive edits, we must redesign the interior. We would request you do the edits and resubmit your Word document so that YOU have a copy of the Word file in its final form, and we will redesign the interior with your new edits incorporated. Extensive edits requiring a second interior design are subject to another fee.
If you get your interior design done, order a proof, and then find some typos and small edits, we will make up to 25 edits for FREE post-proof and deliver a second (all fixed up) interior design file to you. Edits beyond the 25 small edits (typos, punctuation, word choice) will be subject to an editing fee. Extensive edits are subject to a redesign fee as we start from the beginning again. To save money and time, PLEASE submit edited and perfected manuscripts for design.
PROTIPS:
Submit a FINAL and PERFECTED WORD document for design. This final document contains ALL the content you want in your published book. Do not forget the front matter, back matter, ISBN and copyright information.
Ask us for a quote, so we know what you need, and if it is outside the basic design fee, we can let you know. No one likes surprises.
Custom Book Cover Design

(Includes 3-5 initial cover concepts and three revisions of your selected cover. We keep the design price low so that you can get an affordable and professional design, but we have to limit revisions to do so.)
Requirements: Please provide 5-10 samples of covers you love, your brand colors, fonts, title, subtitle, author name, back cover summary (edited and perfected) and any additional information (short author bio and picture) for the back cover design. If you have quotes or feedback you want on the cover, make sure you have permission to place them on the cover. We will need to know the page count of your final interior and the paper choice you are going with for your final print book. Also, please be open to feedback regarding your book content and the trending cover designs in that niche/category. If we design a cover that makes your self-help book look like a romantic comedy, it won’t sell to the right market or it will be overlooked.
Once you order a proof, if any elements need to be tweaked ( a little to the left, remove the shadow, etc) we can do that free of charge and deliver a new Print Ready PDF file to you for loading. Sometimes you just do not know until you see it in print.
PROTIPS:
Ensure the text you submit to us for inclusion on the cover is free of typos and of appropriate length. There is little space on the cover, and you do not want to ruin the design by squishing too much into the available space. We also must leave room for the ISBN barcode.
Look at book covers in your niche to see what is trending, and share covers you like with us. We never copy, but we incorporate elements of the various covers you share with us into a custom cover design.
